Terms of Service

By creating an account, accessing, or using PiPilot (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” refers to both you and that organization. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

PiPilot is a platform that uses artificial intelligence to help you build and deploy apps from a chat interface — including web apps, mobile apps built with Expo, backend APIs, command-line tools, and packages. The Service may provision cloud development sandboxes, generate and edit source code on your behalf, run automated browser tests, run headless or scheduled “Missions” on your behalf, and assist with deploying and hosting your applications, including publishing sites live to a *.pipilot.dev subdomain.

Your projects are stored in a private application folder inside your own Google Drive. PiPilot does not host or retain copies of your project files on our servers; you own and control your code and data at all times. The Service is provided on an ongoing basis and may evolve over time as we add, modify, or remove features.

You must create an account to use most features of the Service. Authentication is provided through Google sign-in. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the Service, and you must provide accurate, current account information. You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

You agree not to use the Service to build, deploy, or operate applications that:

• are illegal, or that facilitate illegal activity in any applicable jurisdiction;
• are abusive, harassing, defamatory, or designed to harm, deceive, or exploit others, including phishing, malware, or spam;
• infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party;
• attempt to circumvent, abuse, or place undue load on our AI models, compute, or cloud sandboxes, including automated scraping, denial-of-service, or reverse engineering of the Service;
• resell, sublicense, or repackage the Service or its underlying compute and AI capacity as your own product without our written permission; or
• manipulate or game the Launchpad community competition or the referral program, including through fake accounts, automated voting, or artificially inflated usage.

We may suspend or terminate access for conduct that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or harms the Service, other users, or third parties.

You own your content. The prompts you write, the code and applications generated for you, and the data you create or upload (collectively, “User Content”) belong to you. Because your projects live in your own Google Drive, you retain direct control over them.

To operate the Service, you grant PiPilot a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, copy, transmit, display, and process User Content solely as necessary to provide the Service to you — for example, to load your project into a sandbox, run the AI agent against it, or deploy it at your direction. This license ends when you delete the relevant content or close your account, except to the extent required to comply with law.

You are responsible for your User Content and for ensuring you have the rights necessary to use it with the Service.

The Service integrates with third-party providers to function. These include, without limitation:

• Google Drive — secure, user-owned storage for your project files;
• Supabase — database and backend infrastructure that powers the Service;
• E2B — cloud sandboxes that run your build, live preview, and Missions;
• Vercel — hosting for PiPilot and for sites you publish to *.pipilot.dev;
• Stripe — billing and payment processing for subscriptions;
• Providers you connect — such as GitHub, Vercel, Netlify, Cloudflare, or Supabase — using your own account and tokens, for pushing code, deploying, or provisioning backend resources at your direction.

Your use of these providers, and of any service to which you deploy your applications, is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, and your relationship with any provider you connect through the Service is between you and that provider.

PiPilot offers a free tier and paid subscription plans (Cadet, Pilot, Squadron, and Command), billed through Stripe. Paid plans include metered cloud and build hours used for AI requests, sandboxes, builds, and Missions; Squadron and above also support team workspaces. Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected) and renew automatically until cancelled. You authorize us and Stripe to charge your payment method for each renewal. You may also earn additional build hours through our referral program, subject to its own terms.

Prices are exclusive of taxes unless stated otherwise, and you are responsible for any applicable taxes. We may change plan features and pricing; we will give reasonable notice of material changes, which take effect at your next renewal. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. You can cancel at any time, and cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

The Service itself — including the PiPilot name, logo, brand, software, user interface, documentation, and underlying technology — is owned by PiPilot and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the rights expressly granted to you in these Terms, we reserve all rights in and to the Service.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service, or use our trademarks, without our prior written consent. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of the Service to you.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. AI-generated code and content may contain errors, security vulnerabilities, or inaccuracies; you are responsible for reviewing, testing, and validating any output before relying on or deploying it.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PiPilot and its affiliates, officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to us for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD $100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PiPilot and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your User Content, your applications, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party rights.

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if continuing to provide the Service to you would create a security or legal risk.

Because your project files live in your own Google Drive, they remain accessible to you in your Drive even after your PiPilot account is closed. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — will continue to apply.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ontario, Canada for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, except where prohibited by applicable law.
