The day everything changed
How a single frustrating week in July 2025 became the reason PiPilot exists.
The Frustration
In the last days of July 2025, the founder tried every AI dev tool he could get his hands on — Lovable, Bolt, Cursor, Windsurf. Each promised to change everything. None of them delivered true automation. The demos were dazzling; the day-to-day was a grind.
The Breaking Point
He was still manually configuring environments, copy-pasting code between windows, and babysitting an AI that forgot the context two messages later. The tools were smart, but they weren’t intelligent. They couldn’t think ahead. They couldn’t hold onto what the project actually was.
Building V4
On June 2, 2026, that conviction became the platform you use today: he began building PiPilot V4 from the ground up — an AI that truly understood the work, remembered the project, and could carry an idea from a single sentence all the way to a running app.
